I will agree with this suggestion . This has become my favorite go-to book for inspiration and help in tying Catskill dries . It has also started me on a search for the older classic Mustad 94840 dry fly hooks .

3 in one sitting John . Pretty impressive and very nicely done. Love the Black Doctor in particular - one of my favorite wets to use up this way during salmon season .

I also tie them in by the tip but then wrap them around the thread making a kind of "chenille" . Makes for strong bodies even for Atlantic Salmon fishing .......Frank

I use a washer also as the screw does not allow a lot of tension to be placed on the spool , in my view ........Frank

My favorite would be the Royal Wulff . About two dozen brookies confirmed that choice on Saturday past even during a mayfly and caddis hatch ............Frank
