It was a Fenwick fiberglass 5 weight for me, about 1972. Mail ordered it, put a Cortland line on a Medalist 1494 1/2 and went to Broadheads Creek in Stroudsburg Pa. to fly fish for the first time. I love beadheads, bet half my trout are caught on them. I am traditionalist enough that I refuse to use a bobber when fishing them, though. I use a strike indicator instead. Call me old fashioned, but "the proprieties at all times".(Michaeleen Og Flynn) Cordially, Bill
