Re: Independence Day rivers

That is why you must walk and stalk the small waters. The bigger waters you have to pick your windows.

Re: Brook trout in the Willow

Re: Mystery Fly

I bow to the knowledgeable. I can say I have seen similar flies, but not in a fashion that would make me think of a hatch. The ones I've seen actually bite and leave good welts.

Echo Rob. Glad the storm didn't directly hit your house. Keep on focusing with what's important. All things seem to turn around, weather, streams and life eventually. Time is a great equalizer. Control of your time is the key. I only say that because we lost control of that for about 3 years now. Th...

Re: Brook trout in the Willow

John not sure why, but about three years ago there was huge pod of native brookies on a commonly fished pool below the manor. Spent an entire morning catching them. I suspect they came from a small feeder upstream. One of the local guides was locked in on them too with clients on slow days. They mig...

Re: First cast

Great pictures. They make me want to take a vacation, but not allowed. Streams are still real high here in PA. I haven't fished because of work. I haven't seen even a black stone lately despite the warmer temperatures. Supposed to cool down this week yet. Windy as heck.

Re: First cast

Good luck to all. I am locked out from traveling due to work again until at least June. Should warm up here at home a bit this week and the opener here should be ok. Nothing but a few black stones around the house. Time to start thinking about gardens too. Get your seeds etc early before they sell o...
