Yes, that is a pond fish. The only place I've seen river fish that large is in far northern Canada.

Can't wait to see this book! Excellent story on your blog about Professor Webster. Without him, Bill Flick then Rich Preall and Leo Demong we would not have the Adirondack brook trout fishery we do today.
