Re: Flatbrook Fish and Wildlife Management Area

Thank you again. Just the info I was looking for. Was hoping to go this Saturday morning but looking like heavy rain. A commute from Jersey back to Long Island on a Saturday afternoon could be hellish given the forecast and the holiday season
Hopefully soon :D
Thanks again All!

Re: Flatbrook Fish and Wildlife Management Area

Thx njcathrelease! Great to have that piece of mind. ;)

I know nothing about the area...What does one do?...park on side of road and hike through woods in to river? I'll look online for a map perhaps.

Should I expect to see other fishermen this time of year?

Thx again.

Re: 2wt 6ft

The Douglas sure are nice LaminarMan but way out of my price range these days haha I picked up the Temple Barleywine...thx for the lead. Need to match it up with a reel now. Keep the suggestions coming ;) Thanks guys! Can’t wait to get tangled up in some steep mountain stream pool battling the NYS r...

Re: 2wt 6ft

Thx Barleywine I’ll definitely check out Temple. Price sounds reasonable. St. Croix is great too Northcountryman. I have a few of their 4 piece spinning rods with a nice carry case that I can trek through the woods strapped to the back of my pack. The ultralight weight five-footer is especially fun....

2wt 6ft

Hope all are well here...
I believe I am in need of said rod without breaking the bank. Unfortunately Orvis stopped making their Clearwater 2wt 6ft fly rod.
Could anyone advise where else to look for one?
Hope this post was placed in the right category here on SGM.
Thx!

Beautiful!
Is that a slight bump on the back of the brookie in photo #5? That’s cool!
