Re: Tedd Ward

While going through some boxes this weekend, I came across this box of Tedd Ward flies. I picked it up at the museum flea market a number of years ago. It came with a note indicating that all flies were tied by Tedd Ward with a reference to see Syl Nemes' books to learn more. So better late than nev...

Re: Aaron and the opener

HI Ed. Thanks for posting this. Like yourself, I find myself thinking of him often. It usually happens when I'm thinking about a specific fishing situation and wonder what he would have done. Or... when rummaging through my stuff, and as you experienced, find a fly that he gave me years ago. Hey Joh...

Re: Blotter Paper

Check out the Hairline Mega Fly Tying Mat. I'm sure Joe can get one for you. I use it at my desk and love it. Easy on the eyes, glue and goo comes right off.

Re: "The Book of Fly Patterns" by Eric Leiser

That book, and the Complete Book of Fly Tying were among the first books I purchased. Found them both in a in a crazy antique/eclectic 5 story building in Kingston, NY many years ago. The place has everything from old sinks and windows, to estate book collections. They are still among my favorites a...

Re: Wonder Wings

Funny, for some reason I always thought a Wonder Wing was closer to single feather Wally wing which splits the stem. Learn something every day. Somewhere I have some letters from Chauncey from back when people still actually wrote to one another. Hi Bob, You're correct on the Wally Wing vs. Wonder ...
