Yes and quarter bobbins, $5 Indian necks, etc., etc., etc... and numerous items I haven't used, tied with on DECADES... as a fly tyer, I never throw away anything as one never knows when it will be needed again... :roll: :oops: :o ;)

... it's funny you started with a Noll kit in 1967. I started with the Noll kit in 1964. I started with mine in 1961; a Christmas present for a 13 year-old... I seem to recall my parents paid $4.99 for the kit, which I still have and several of the items it contained... Noll.jpg ... and still learn...

We focus solely on pre-1969 Catskill patterns, or patterns popular in Catskills during that time Sounds great--but I am curious, why 1969? What significance does this particular year have in distinguishing between 'before' and 'after?' bb I would have guessed 1969 cause that's the year Outdoor Life...

Never a fly box, have lost prescription polaroid sunglasses, more than once, a neat hand-crafted trout net, and a prized wading staff... it hurts, but as often said, "... time heals all wounds"... :cry: :cry: ... ps, Esopus has been ripping and off color of late, probably not the best fishing condit...

... Fished above Painter Bend and did very well. Tried a lot of different flies but caught all of the fish on Size 10 March Browns. All fish were caught after 7:30 in the evening time. All fish were very husky and put up a great fight. Largest was 17 or 18 inches and the others above 13 inches. ......
