Re: Truform MB and Iso

No, but the Water Wisp looks "similar". It's tied with the hook point curling upwards instead of down in the water. They don't use the same hook either.

Re: Truform MB and Iso

Hey CJ!

I think I'm going to try them on riffle water. I tied this Iso Emerger with more hackle wraps than on your MB…I'm hoping these produce!

Re: Thorax Dun

Kurt great flies. If you can post some pictures of your biots I'd appreciate it. I am a fan of biot bodies, the ultimate segmentation in my opinion. Sure! I've used biots from several different vendors but stumbled upon one that is the best quality in my opinion. It's from Rene Harrop's place in La...

Re: Thorax Dun

I've use the WaterShed Wapsi version and had good success but noticed that they've become thinner and the tips arent lined up and are frequenlty mashed. I've found other vendors to be even worse. For those who use Microfibb...

Re: Article in Fly Tyer magazine

DITTO!! What happened to that magazine? The quality these days is absolutely awful! Hackles over the eye and whip finish, ugly, poorly tied flies displayed as cutting edge?! Really it's gone downhill badly, I don't even buy it anymore. Really disappointing considering the possibilities with all the...

This one is is a size 10 mustad 79580 , those hackles are 4s or longer. I can't wait to fish it.
I tie the same pattern! I use Moose Body Hair for the tails...are you using peccary?
