All kidding aside , I’ve lost more than one over the years ; what I’ve learned from the loss is , ALWAYS take the extra couple of seconds to ENSURE your box is thoroughly sec...

Re: Fishing the Ramapo River

Thanks Bud , just went over to Sloatsburg and had a look around by the park. Tried a wet fly rig for a little bit, but nothing . Water was SUPER high and muddy ( no surprise ). Should be better when it recedes a little bit . PM American if you wanna meetup sometime . Have a great holiday :D .

Re: Fishing the Ramapo River

Hey Joe , appreciate the advice - I didn’t realize that they stocked up as far as Arden!! From info provided on DEC, looked to me like they were only sticking in Sloatsburg, but ok , I’ll try further north then as well! Could not control him before he broke off. I fought him for a good 5 minutes before it broke off. Saw a few flies...

Re: Striper Fishing

So , a good all around flyline would be the intermediate , right ? I’d rig that with 6-8 ‘ leader and some closures and deceivers To get started and I’m good ?

Striper Fishing

This may sound silly, but I never knew that flyfishing for Stripers was not only fairly common, but, effective to boot!! I'd like to try it sometime. I have a 7 weight that I could rig up, but what would my setup consist of? For flies, I'm guessing large streamers like Deceivers, but what type of li...
