Yesterday afternoon

Another glorious afternoon, but skunked on a # 18/20 Olive tied aprox 16" off a BH soft hackle competive style jig nymph pattern in fast water and in pockets and deeper holes. They seemed to be on to the Olive. One break off by what appeared to be a rather large Brown and a number of bumps that I wa...

Re: Esopus

I doubt you need a guide, just walk up or down a little further and further more. I seem to be doing better in faster water lately. Atleast the water is clearer than it could be.

Re: Labor Day and brook trout fishing

Interesting take on Brook Trout fishing at this date. I went up in the mountains yesterday to some of my usual Brookie spots and nada. I chalked it up to slightly lower water and easier spooked fish. Perhaps I should have have been more persistent with other patterns. Thanks for the post.

Re: Small Water Brook Trout Fishing This Morning

Wow. That is one of the most interesting brookie photos I have seen in some time... Really highlights the vermiculate mazes, the brilliant blood-red spots and the white fin edges. Thank you for posting! -Rob J. Hey Rob - Thanks for your response - Seeing your comment and looking at the mentioned pi...
