These look nice--what did you use for hackle, it looks like Coq de Leon to my eye? How many hackles/turn could you get on each fly?--a side photo would help a lot--these are real devils to tie well--a 2" Skater is a good one! bb I knocked a few out last year but could never get them to stand uprigh...

Mike, you won't be disappointed - this is the book that got me hooked on the Catskills, the style of tying and it's history and culture.

I have been messing about with Skaters on and off for a while now but could never get them to pass the Ralph Graves test - until now! https://www.flyfishing.co.uk/attachment.php?attachmentid=12840&d=1517428661 They aren't huge (about 2" in diameter) but neither are the trout on my local stream. Nice Klinks Mike. It is one off my favourite patterns to use when nothing is rising or the fish are going for emergers. I had grayling rising 4 feet from the bottom to take them last November.
