I've got a 490LL that I love. It doesn't have the reputation of the 389LL, but it's a sweet rod with surprising power. I used to fish the Deschutes with it, and the river's redsides are hot fish.

Here's the photo of the Dorato-tied DHE that I published in the Gazette--it's been cropped and reduced in size, but also breathed on with the rudimentary photo-editing program I use to correct the lighting and (I hope) bring out the colors a bit better.

Wet backing is more of an issue for the saltwater folks. Over on Dan Blanton's bulletin board, there periodically are threads about minor corrosion on reel arbors and spools.
