Re: One Fly to use all season

narcdog, I see what you say about taking fun out of it, just want to see what people would use? You can still use your materials to tie just can't use flies for one season. Ted Patlen will go with a (Scarlet Ibes) I think would be a good bet onTed's pick for a fly. Jimmy

One Fly to use all season

If you only had one fly to use all season what would it be? It could be any size of that fly.Just one fly. I would go with a Emerger Gray body, Med.Dun CDC wing,Z-lon tail on emerger hook. You could fish on bottom, swing as wet, float in film, and fish on top.It might just work!!!! A friend of mine use...

Picked up a rod in November, 7 ft. 9in. 5WT Dennis Mencer rod , I used it on the Willow when I got it and loved it, caught fish on Olive emergers had a gret afternoon. That will be my goto rod this year. The other thing I take all the time is my emerger box's won't leave without them. Jimmy

Theodore Gordon September 18,1854 - May 1,1915

This year Brother Gordon will have left us 95 years, Mr. Gordon is my hero because without him what we have today would not be. I know people would have invented patterns, but the history that I love so much might not be there. When crossing over Neversink River I still take my hat off out of respec...
