You had recommended them to me when I was first looking for a bamboo rod . well I now own one 5wt two6wts and an 8 wt which I've only cast in the yard and love them all.Their beautiful pieces of work most made in the 50's 60's ere and will probably last for generations.Watch out tho their addicting,...

thanks that's a pretty solid reply,these are more like a 14 maybe even 16,come off sporadically during the day and more so as it starts to get dark.Its a fun hatch to fish,really gets the trout excited. Stan

Hi all been some pretty good numbers of white mays hatching in my area,as I'm sure in yours also.I've always fished this hatch with both the traditional wet and dry lt cahill, the hares ear and the usual.I found a few in a big spider web today and was surprised to see the green cast on the naturals....

I have not been in the cats for3 years but heard that they closed the Hazel bridge.I like fishing the willow and have caught some nice fish in that stretch of water.Any info.Was it washed out during the flood last year, or just not safe? Same here in Ct.saw son little black stones and some quill gordons but very sporadic.I think the spring peepers went back into hibernation.Waters very coldand fish don't seem to be interested.Something to look forward too I guess.This has been the winter that wont quit. Stan

Thanks for the info,thats a great article.When I believe it was John who posted a picture of this fly last year I tied up a few and had some luck with it.I'll have to tie up a few more and spread the spirit of the cinberg to some of the waters I fish in. just thought I'd put my 2 cents in.I've never had a pair of waders last more then 2 or 3 years without springing a leak. I got a pair of stockingfoot Simms waders and I'm going on 4 years and still going strong.Stan
