John.. Did you compare the colours of the fly as wet or dry? the color of the thread, dubbing and the grey hook when wet maybe is more similar in colour than dry..

I have used the 14/0 and noticed that some of the fibers easily breaks, switched to Textreme 8/0 which don't build much more and feels much better.. Can even tie deerhair flies with it..
