Dick Talleur remembered

Post by Eperous »

I thought perhaps some folks might want to see a few flies Dick Talleur so eloquently constructed... Hanging above our woodstove, between some dry flies tied by the Darbees and Dettes, are a few salmon flies Dick tied up....

A closer look, top row left to right: Blue Charm, Jock Scott, Silver Doctor... bottom row, from left: Cosseboom Special, Green Highlander, Rusty Rat...

If you take a real good look, you'll also see a big Stonefly Nymph among these salmon flies... Dick wrote a story once about fishing the Esopus Creek, Big Bend Pool, late one fall and landing a big rainbow on this pattern... I asked him to tie me one of these also, and inquired if it was okay to mount it with his slmon flies.... he told me to go for me...

He will be missed...
