Florence is coming your way!

Have had a ton of rain in Charlotte. Florence passed about 45 miles south of here. Relatively light winds all things considered but the NC mountains are getting a belly-full of rain now. I think you all will get a ton of rain also as it marches north along the Appalachians. Get ready.

In June our daughter and son-in-law sold their home in Wilmington and we helped them move to Charleston.

Lucky break for them, but we're all on alert to help as we can the many friends left behind along the Cape Fear River. It's not pretty down there.

I got out late yesterday afternoon into the evening on the Esopus, as it was cloudy with bugs about and Florence on the way... had a great couple hours with little wild rainbows... then at 6 PM, as forecast, the rain started and hasn't really stopped since... creeks are on the rise, but nothing like NC & SC... really sad the damage this storm caused when it hit landfall, and still causing down your way...
