Just saw Catskill Flies that Dennis passed away on Feb 4th.

This is probably why his web site is still from Nov.24. When ever I was in Roscoe Iwould stop in to see him and buy a few things I didn’t really need. He was pleasant to talk too. RIP Dennis. Bill the mailman

Very sorry to hear that-I like to Dennis, who is a real good guy. And a great fly tyer and fisherman......

Dennis was a true Catskill character, he will surely be missed by all who had the chance to meet him.

I am so sorry to hear this, I knew he didn’t look right the last time I was in the shop, RIP Dennis , you are one of the reasons why I love this sport so much ☹️

Last time I was in the shop, late October last year, I was sitting chatting with Dennis, at the bench. He was tying streamers ( little brown trout ) and using vintage partridge hooks! He said “I knew you’d get a kick out of this“, gave me one of the flies, and a couple of the hooks.



That was the last time I saw him.....
