Anyone have a good photo of a black nose dace and a bad male in spawning colors?

Just to be clear, you want an actual fish photo of a Dace?
And what’s a bad male?

Ted,
I shot dozens of photos of Baitfish, including the black nose dace, for the "bucktails" book. I just have to find the photos. I might have a different version of this guy, one on a different background.

-If I can't locate the photos, just go down to Walmart and purchase a $15 minnow trap. Stick some bread in it, and place it in any stream. You'll have dozens trapped overnight---IF you use Italian bread as bait! Ha!

I believe the key phrase here is "spawning colors". Male BND acquire a reddish tint in spawning season.

I have pics of both female and male in spawning colors---but have to locate the memory card. Or maybe on an external hard drive?

But, as suggested, just go and get a $15 minnow trap, bait it and drop over a bridge and you'll have dozens to photograph, composed as per your own liking.

mike. I'll call you about the photos.

Bob. Thanks...the males get some orange/reddish hues during the spawning time of the dace.

Ted,
I just emailed you a very high res photo of a Black Nose Dace---with orange hue. It's on a nice mossy background. I shot the pic back in 2014
