Another sad bit of news......

Post by quadfish »

I just found out today that a friend to many of us, JB Martin, passed away on September 19th. There are no further details to my knowledge.

Here is a link to the obituary: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/app/ob ... =172519427

May he rest in peace. He was a good guy and helped to rekindle my interest in fly fishing and tying back in 2006. He will be missed.

I'm sorry to hear this. I never met JB , it was his site that got me fired up about the Catskill's and it's history...

I found out this morning and am deeply saddened by the news. As Rick said i started out on catskill flies and then classic trout. I learned so much from JB and CJ on fly tying, rod making and the tradition of fly fishing. I considered JB as a mentor in many ways, my first flyfest was an extroidanary expierience for me one i will never forget. With all of everyones time constaints i only wish i could spend more time with the sport and the people I love. RIP my friend and may your steams always be full of fish.

I'm saddened and shocked by this news.

RIP, JB. I'll break out the Irish and toast your memory.

It is sad anytime a brother/sister of the longrod passes on to greener pastures and waters we never fished before.... R.I.P...
