New members

Post by catskilljohn »

First, let me apologize for the few new members I deleted, with the occasional spammer sneaking in, I have been on high alert.

I would like to suggest to any new members to just make 1 post after becoming a member, that way we can ascertain who is the angler and who is the spammer. Sometimes the spammers lay low for a few days, then unleash their vile wrath on the board, a simple post would alleviate this. Thanks so much, and again, I am sorry for the confusion. CJ

Matt,

The only one I got from you was Aug 11, I replied to it. I certainly didn't delete any pm's, just an actual member who I thought was a spammer.

Its funny you should mention this though. I got a message in my regular e-mail that said I had a pm from someone [not you, or anyone here] but it was not in my pm's. This happens sometimes, but usually it just gets re-sent and its like it never happened.

Send another, and I will respond right away. CJ

I registered this past week. I am an angler down in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, though originally from way out west in Utah. Have enjoyed the boards over the past month or so - look forward to posting.

Cheers!

Marshall

Just registered tonight. I am from NE Pa and found this board after buying some tying materials from Dette. Should be fun.

Looks like we're neighbors. I'm just starting out.
