yes I would like to know the tapers and specs are.... nice looking rods!!! love the color far better than blondies.

John, you haven't cast these. I don't have pictures of the one you did but I'll try and get some pictures up of it's little brother. Good eye though, the wood on the reel seats on both the top one here and the one you played with at summerfest are Australian(different species but similar coloring).

Janne and Wolf, they're both my slightly modified version of a PHY perfectionist taper. No real major changes, just a little tweaking to make it behave more the way I wanted.

does have the cast of med action? CJ knows my style of casting :) where have a good control where you want the line drop.

Wolf, it's kind of almost parabolic(more on the progressive side though). You can feel the cast under the handle when you get a good amount of line out. It's one of those the less you push the better it casts kind of taper. I don't like casting it on the lawn much but it's been my go-to on the stream. I'll bring the first one I made to this taper(actually it's the second since the first one was before my tweaks and I didn't like it so it became color sticks) to Boofest, it's not much to look at but the feel is there.
