SGM Fest - Califon, NJ 02-26

Post by catskilljohn »

Dette Trout Flies and Shannons Fly Shop is once again teaming up for our SGM Fest on Sunday Feb 26th at the Califon Firehouse right on the banks of the South Branch of the Raritan River in NJ. This will be the second year for this event, which was very popular last year. The firehouse guys have a really nice, roomy ball room and give us the run of the place from 10:00-4:00, lots of space and tables for all the area tyers.

All the details are being taken care of at this time, I will post the flier when its finished. Mark this on your calendar, and we hope to see everyone there! CJ

Don't worry Mike, I might be doing a SGM Fest North for everyone not in NJ.

Come on Mike...A man of international acclaim like yourself cant spend all winter in Albany... Take a little adventure and come down to western new jersey, Califon may surprise you...

Last year we had about 60 participants in our first SGM Fly Fest... People have been asking about this event all year, I think it will be well attended by both tiers and observers...As a bonus, our local rivers fish extremely well in the winter...

We put up a Facebook page yesterday.. http://www.facebook.com/events/220195844734495/
Hope to see everyone there!! Dan

I really enjoyed the event last year, though I was behind a lens rather than tying. The very laid back casual atmosphere was great. Can you just show up and start twisting up some patterns or do you have to register??

Cheers,
Hooli

Thanks for the 411 John! :)

I'll spread the word for you all and get some new blood in there for you. Should be a good time, again.

Cheers.

I'm planning on being there, unless the weather decides to turn nasty.
