If you are a little bashful about tying at the CFFCM but would like to, please pick a date and do it. Its not a pressure situation at all, and tyers of all ability's show up to benefit the center.

Over the years that I have been doing it, I have met many friends [you meet alot more guys there than on the river, thats for sure!] and I never feel scrutinized or uncomfortable. The regulars that show up to watch are always really nice, and make the time pass quickly. Agnes makes you a sandwich, you can take breaks whenever you want, and you leave a fly or 2 that gets mounted in a shadowbox that is auctioned off later.

I might add that when you tye during the year, you become eligible to tye at the Danbury show in November. This show is getting bigger every year, and is considered one of the elite flyfishing shows on the eastcoast.

There is plenty of time both before and after to fish, so please give them a call or pm Jack for a date, its a great experience. CJ

Hi everybody,

CJ nailed it-tying at the CFFC & M is a great experience to talk to visitors and get the word out on what we do, how we do it, and why we do it. The staff is awesome, and it is always a pleasure to give back.

I always enjoy visiting with Ralph Graves, who will ALWAYS tell you what he's thinking...and isn't shy about offering a critique.

It's a great opportunity-please take advantage of it!

Thanks for putting it out there again, Jack.

Best,

Tim
