First, I agree that Charlie Collins has some beautiful feathers. I treasure mine.

Feather Emporium has a great selection as well. Various people have had various experiences in dealing there rangin from great responsiveness to none at all. I'm very happy with some of the necks I've purchased there.

Another interesting choice for Whiting product is http://www.campfirelodgewestyellowstone. com. The owner, Jim Slattery, has a huge inventory of great necks and on his web site, you can see the actual neck you would be buying, not simply a representative sample. This web site was developed by SGM member Wiflyfisher, and I think it's a one of a kind. Worth a look.

Collins is a great hackle. For the money you can't go wrong. Most of my hackle is Collins. Nice guy too. :D

I have close to 70 - 75 hen skins from Dave Roberts of the Feather Emporium in the Madison, WI area and have purchased materials from Dave for many years. He has an unbelievable stock of rooster and hen skins in just about any color that you can imagine. Just visited with Dave a couple weeks ago and I'm now $300+ poorer! Good guy and great selection of hackles. Literally MANY thousands of hackle skins available in colors that I never knew existed (but I'm still buying them!).

Whoops, forgot to mention that most of the hackles for North Country Spiders are obtained directly from Steve Cooper at Cookshill (UK). If he has the hackles in stock, delivery to USA is normally around 10 days or so. Very good source for the hard-to-find North Country materials.
