Steenrod pattern

Post by troutbum40 »

Hey, Wondering if anyone could post a pic of a fly pattern tied / created by Roy Steenrod in 1918? The pattern is " Murray's Favorite". Tried to find something about it and came up empty! Thanks! ;)

I have looked around also...this one is another tough one!

Love this detective work...even if you dont find out anything about the dressing your looking for, you always learn about 4 or 5 other things you didn't know :D CJ
"Gentlemen,remove your hats,this is it"
"This is where the trout was invented?"
"Oh he existed in a crude, primitive form in Waltons England"
"But this is where they painted spots on him and taught him to swim"

Hi guys, here's something I dug up recently....there's not much "out there" to find on this pattern.

Happy new year!
