Hendricksons

Post by catskilljohn »

They are coming!

Fooling around with a simple impressionistic spinner pattern, nothing groundbreaking, but it has that spent footprint...note that all materials are natural, no poly, plastic, foam, synthetic, rubber...and no bead, just burned vixen, dun hackle and a little green rabbit ;)

Those are great looking ties, CJ.

Last April I was amazed at how ultra-bright the Hendrickson egg sacs were when I hit a few hatches. They were glowing like fireflies. And the fish were porpoising on them. 8-)

Hendricksons are about the only where 1) I can see the egg sac on insects in the air and) where I think the fish actually key in on it.

My wet fly box worked very nicely, thank you. 18 browns that I had to unhook, about half on a Dark Hendrickson wet. No beads were harmed.
