1) Catskill Flytier Darbee/Francis
2) The Dettes A Catskill Ledgend
3) Art Flicks Streamside Guide
4) Rube Cross The Complete Flytyer.
Mac Francis' books
That should get you started.

"A Book of Trout Flies", the Preston Jennings book is also a great one. It's available in reprints for about $18.50.

Watch Ebay, most of the books can had reasonably except for the Dette and Darby books. They can get pricey.
I wish I had known that Joe still had copies as I would have bought from him.

I get mine from:

http://www.alibris.com/booksearch?qwork ... ting*title

Alibris is a clearing house of used books. They have relationships with many used book stores. Here, I've linked them to the Darbee book. Look at the range of prices. It's a good way to shop and compare. You can get very good deals. I have never had a problem ordering with them.
