Stenonema mediopunctatum [Cream Cahill]

Post by catskilljohn »

Family: Heptageniidae
Genus: Stenonema
Species: mediopunctatum

Stringing up my rod, I didn't even get the line through the first guide and this one landed right on it. The 2 tails on this fly were about as long as I have seen on any spinner, easily double the body length.

I sat down to tie up some of Art Flick's Cream Variants and this guy landed on my vice.... Summer evening, screens on the windows, go figure.
