I tie a bunch of soft hackles with partridge hackles (natural and dyed) with many different colors (and shades) of hare's ear dubbings with and without tails and with various colored threads. There are soooooooo many variations that can be tied with partridge, hare's ear, threads and ribbings that a person could fill up several fly boxes with those few materials. Same thing with pheasant (hen / rooster tails and hackles).

Ed, I myself prefer wingless wets. I don't care much for winged wets as they are more work and after fishing and a couple of fish the wings come apart and they look wingless any way!.
