Scarlet Ibis

Post by Eperous » Tue Jul 30, 2019 10:31 am

Was out helping a team from USGS shock a section of the upper Neversink yesterday... when I finished my assigned task, I disappeared conducting my own "fish survey" using a Letort Hopper and a Scarlet Ibis wet fly hanging from it... every now and then I enjoy fishing old classic fly patterns, mostly recalling anglers who once roamed these waters and because they still work... both flies caught wild brook trout for me...

Below are two Scarlet Ibis brookies....

Yeah the oldies work great for Brookies, I used them last month up in the adirondacks, very effective , and fun!
