Fall fishing
Fall fishing
Despite low water in freestone streams and warm autumn weather, I think fishing is picking up if we pay attention to what nature provides us... Below is a recent--- a few days ago--- 20+ inch autumn brown I caught/released while tossing a small Black Leech...
Got to love fall fishing, but it can be so damn short followed by a cold long, dull winter... that said, I'll keep trout fishing, through opening day 2020 somewhere, as long as opportunities present themselves....

Re: Fall fishing
That's a lovely fish. And, in my imagination, its beauty is magnified by the beauty of the place where you caught it.
Re: Fall fishing
That is one beautiful fish!
Re: Fall fishing

Re: Fall fishing
Great colors on that fish.
Re: Fall fishing

Sorry to see NYS trout season close on many waters Tuesday, but nothing is forever and wild trout spawning needs to be protected... hope to get out Tuesday, then eventually may find my way to the Beaverkill and Willowemoc No Kills, for the first time this year, now that crowds are probably gone... October and November can provide some excellent fishing, before snow flies and waters ice up sometime after the holidays, IMO...
