Received the vise in the mail yesterday...thank you again, CJ! ;) ;)

-Tied my first fly on it this morning---a Wemoc Adams--one of my own. The vise held the hook fine---better than expected. I can understand why Rube Cross used one of those Jeweler's vises...back in his time.

That suits you and your classic ways perfect man, good choice of fly too!
Glad it got to you so quickly also, I’m always afraid those usps trucks are stuck in the snow up your way.

Nice work, John

I am curious – how did you determine the precise angle that the vise was going to sit?

I recently needed to get a replacement screw for my Optivisor. I found them online but that alone wasn't much to place an order. I looked around for something to add and found this:

I have a couple of antique ones, mostly for photo props, but I wanted something less costly for tying. For the price; I was surprised at the solid feel of the vise. It feels a little too new and needs some use to smooth the fresh edges a bit. Otherwise I'm happy with it.

How about a travel version? :)
I'll take one if you decide to do it
