Housatonic Quill.

Post by upstatetrout »

I found this pattern in Trout by Bergman and thought our friends from Conneticut might like it. Who knows maybe our friends from New Jersey may like it also.

Hook. Daiichi. 1480 size 12.
Wing. Speckled Mandarin.
Tail. Same.
Body. Peacock Quill.
Hackle.Gray badger.

Well done!
I remember fishing that pattern to imitate the white fly hatch on the Housatonic River back in the late 70s, early 80s.
Thanks, Lou
