-EFF mag got in touch with me not long ago, lamenting that they had assigned an "Exposure" piece to another guy interested in doing an installment---but as happens more times than editors would like, the fellow fell through on it. So, they asked if I could put something together for them, asap, to meet the deadline that was already upon them. I had done one other "Exposure" installment for them a few years ago (winter fly fishing in NY--- I recall freezing my butt off on that one!). I've been with the magazine over 10 years now---nearly 30 articles-

Thanks fishcane---The Rt 20 corridor article was a favorite of mine--brought back many memories, going back many decades. As Jerry Garcia once commented, "I was always willing to sell out way back---but no one was buying." It gives me great joy sharing with others my favorite destinations. I don't write about places, as a general rule, unless I discovered them myself, or they were handed down to me by my grandfather---with only one or two exceptions, after "clearing with another finder," and involving the finder in the story---Many places I'd love to write about, and have been asked to write about, are "off limits," by my own rule.

Eastern Fly Fishing mag has run quite a few of my "Catskill" stuff---some were suggested by the editors.

At one of the golf tournaments, Tiger Woods was at the first tee being announced. They started naming all the events he had won, until, finally, Phil Mickleson yelled, "Wouldn't it be easier if you named the ones he hasn't won?" I guess with Mike, we will need to introduce him by what he hasn’t written about!

But those places are off limits---as I said above, if someone introduced me to a water, or communicates with me about their favorite waters--- (at least two on SGM You know who I'm talking about ) I keep it their secret---
